Conclusion

This plan is the result of wide consultation and a significant amount of effort, and it is essential that we continue and develop the good work that is already happening in the Deanery. The future actions focus on the eight Deanery-wide Aims:-

1. Increased emphasis on all forms of Evangelism to enable the Church to grow
2. Increased lay involvement to release gifts and resource ministry e.g.
Administration, Home Communion, Pastoral / Spiritual roles in the wider community
3. Greater co-operation between Parishes e.g. sharing children’s and young people’s ministry
4. Greater flexibility in the use of OLMs
5. Sharing of Ministry resources
6. Consideration of flexible and imaginative uses for little-used churches
7. Fresh expressions of worship and service e.g. Café Church, new forms of youth service
8. Moves to joint / shared PCCs, Treasurers
